Hello! This is a review of "Selected Neglected Ambience" by a fellow electronic musician, AnnoyWolf.
Album Cover:
Well... The cover was fucking lame. It was one block colour... and that is it.
I am le Dissappoint.
Track 1: "A Lazy Daydream"
A wonderful ambient piano track.
Reminds me of "As the World Falls Down" by David Bowie.
Very romantic, makes me want to fuck something.
6/10
Track 2: "QUAD citrus (It Overtakes Me)"
A great remix of "Fingerbib" by Aphex Twin.
I enjoyed the Squelchy sound the end.
PURE ACIDDD
6/10
Track 3: "Devil's Slump"
First thoughts: CREEPY!
Echo's of Selected ambient works 2 all through the track,
it is well scary.
I liked it.
5/10
Track 4: "My Life as a Flower"
A gr8 remix of "Blue Calx" by Aphex Twin.
Very calm, takes the edge off. (I was in the middle of doing a piece of fuckin' homework, and this made me less aggravated.)
6/10
Track 5: "Fever of Five"
Loved it.
Very long, High frequency noises echo throughout this song, leading me to one of the most awkward Orgasms I have ever had.
8/10
Track 6: "Smaller... and Smaller..."
AnnoyWolf's penis must be getting Smaller and Smaller.
Because I disliked this song the most, it contains very little.
BORED
3/10
Track 7: "With a Splash of Colour"
Bah!
That's all I have to say about that.
3/10
Track 8: "Summertime (Alternate ending version)"
Beautiful.
A wonderful, Flanged Gutair track, with sound of the beach heard in the backround.
uber-relaxing.
8/10
Track 9: "Beautiful Void"
I wake up, in a dark, warm, house, with a small man standing over me.
He offers me a cup of tea, which I accept, he returns with the warm tea,
as I sip, he sits down next to me.
He is comforting, in an odd way, but I am glad for his company.
He asks of my past, which I refuse.
He accepts my answer, and silently rubs my back.
I begin to cry, and he supports me.
"everything is going to be alright" He says.
But I know, I know in my heart if hearts, that everything is not going to be alright.
9/10.
10: "The leaf on the roof of the Temple"
Windy sounds.
Reminds me of "On (28 Mix)" by Aphex Twin.
But not as good.
4/10
11: "As I sail on the wind..."
A amazing remix of "Parallel Lines" by Aphex Twin.
Very ambient, an excellent conclusion to the album.
All in all, I give this album a 6/10.
Gr8 job, AnnoyWolf.
Let me conclude with This.
Bye Bye!
